The AeroTechnic Institute

Founded in 1909 by a donation from Henry Deutsch de la Meurthe, the AeroTechnic Institute (IAT) was inaugurated July 6, 1911 to pursue theoretical and practical researches aimed at development of aerial locomotions.

Industrial services and applied researches

With his experience in more than century in aerodynamics, the IAT is a public service which provides to the enterprise and industrie large test facilities in industrial aerodynamics and related sciences.

The main activities essentially concern the following sectors :

The wind tunnels, the test benches and other means allow to perform industrial and/or research services.


Training in applied aerodynamics can be developed in close collaboration with industries and professionnal organisations to best meet their needs and those of their employees.
